The challenge
Port Hope was one of the first courses to fully commit to autonomous mowing. Fairways and rough take the bulk of a mowing week, and every hour spent on them is an hour not spent on greens, bunkers and presentation.
What we did
Turfect planned the fleet around the course, installed the EPOS reference infrastructure — including solar-powered reference station builds where there was no power — mapped every zone, commissioned the machines and trained the crew. We support the fleet through the season.

Results
Phase 1 went in during early spring 2025. The fleet now mows about 39 acres across 18 fairway zones and 29 rough zones, and roughly 30 hours of mowing a week has moved to other course work. The club has since committed to a further phase, which will take the mapped area past 70 acres.
