Privacy policy
This policy explains what Turfect collects through turfect.ca, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
When you contact us. The Plan Your Site form and our contact forms collect your name, company, email, phone, property details and anything you choose to tell us, plus any file you upload. We use it to prepare your site plan and to reply. It is stored on this website and in our own systems, and it is not sold or shared for marketing.
When you buy something. Orders are processed with WooCommerce. We collect billing, shipping and contact details, and our payment provider (Stripe) processes your card. Turfect never sees or stores full card numbers. Order records are kept for accounting and warranty purposes.
When you have an account. We store the details you enter, plus your order history.
When you simply visit. Our host keeps standard server logs. If analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation to understand which pages are useful. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
Cookies
Cookies keep your cart and your login working, and remember preferences. Analytics cookies, where enabled, measure page visits. You can block cookies in your browser; the shop and account areas will not work properly without the essential ones.
Who else is involved
We use service providers who process data on our behalf: our web host, WooCommerce and Stripe for payments, shipping providers for deliveries, and email providers so we can reply to you. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards. Orders and invoices are kept as long as tax and warranty obligations require.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email jeff@turfect.ca or call 905-716-4128 and we will deal with it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date.
